Tours, tales and goldpanning are available in the summer, at our National Historic Site Indian Valley Mine, which is a 5 minute walk down the hill from your room.
Your hosts are long time Alaskans, Roger and Arlene Cowles. We have some great stories to tell, from when sourdough prospectors searched this land for gold a hundred years ago, to our own adventures like, biking the Iditarod trail or sea kayaking Alaska's coasts. Let us treat you to some old time Alaskan hospitality, simple living, and spectacular scenery.
Our backyard is Chugach State Park, home to moose, bears, wolves, sheep and mountain goats, while our front yard, Turnagain Arm, is home to beluga whales, migrating salmon and the second highest tide in the world.
The Bed and Breakfast along with the gold mine are located at Mile 104 Seward Highway. Don't blink, you might miss us!
Both Turnagain View Bed and Breakfast and Indian Valley Mine are family friendly. A great spot for private parties, destination weddings, and other celebrations.
The house is smoke, shoe, and pet FREE. We look forward to meeting you.
